Description
We want to automatically run tests on the bindings to ensure all functionality works through them.

Added "smoke tests" for python and php4. Tests for other languages needed, and more thorough tests would be good.

All the bindings now have a pretty solid basic set of tests. We could have more complete coverage, but I think this bug can finally be closed.
