The file matchspy.h is not in the release tarball ( http://www.oligarchy.co.uk/xapian/1.0.5/xapian-core-1.0.5.tar.gz ) but is in svn: http://svn.xapian.org/tags/1.0.5/xapian-core/include/xapian/

matchspy.h contains some experimental features which we're not ready to support in a release. It's likely that it will be cleaned up and included at some point in the 1.1 release series, but it was deliberately omitted from the 1.0.5 release.
